First on our list of fun days out in Cambridgeshire is Planet Ice’s skating rink, the perfect day out for families and friends of all ages!

If you are looking for educational days out, then the Cambridge Museum of Technology should be top of your list! Here you will discover and learn about the progression of power technology, from steam to electricity.

10. Cromwell's House, Ely
For an educational day out with a step back in time, why not visit Oliver Cromwell’s house in Ely, Cambridgeshire?
It is the only residence that still exists today besides Hampton Court, and following a recent renovation, now boasts an interactive Civil War exhibition, historic costumes, and games, as well as a miniature encampment for a recreated Civil War experience!
The house offers guided tours as well as audio tours and features a “Cromwell’s Quest”, perfect for families with children.
The house also has a tourist information centre and souvenir gift shop full of gifts relating to Cromwell himself as well as the local area in general.
